Tết Nguyên Đán, more commonly known by its shortened name Tết, is the most important and popular holiday and festival in Vietnam. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the Lunar calendar (around late January or early February) until at least the third day. The general atmosphere leading up to Tết is in the bustle of shopping, cleaning and decorating the home, preparing FOR Tết by cooking special holiday foods and waiting FOR relatives to return home.
There are a lot of customs practiced during Tết, like visiting a person's house on the first day of the new year (xông nhà), ancestral worshipping, wishing New Year's greetings, people visit relatives and friends giving lucky money to children and elderly people, and opening a shop.
Tết is also an occasion FOR pilgrims and family reunions. During Tết, Vietnamese visit their relatives and temples, forgetting about the troubles of the past year and hoping FOR a better upcoming year. They consider Tết to be the first day of spring and the festival is often called Hội xuân (spring festival).

1. Chủ động -> Bị động
Bước 1: xác định động từ chính của câu chủ động chuyển thành Pii
Bước 2: Thêm BE vào trước Pii, BE được chia giống động từ câu chủ động (Phần này quan trọng nhất)
Bước 3: Giữa chủ từ và động từ có gì đem xuống hết.
Bước 4: Lấy túc từ lên làm chủ từ
Bước 5: Đem chủ từ ra phía sau thêm BY
Bước 6: Phần còn lại của câu viết xuống
EX:
1. The fire has destroyed many houses in the area.
Bước 1: destroyed Pii vẫn là destroyed
Bước 2: Thêm be: BE + Destroyed -> Câu chủ động là HTHT -> BE chia là BEEN -> BEEN + DESTROYED
Bước 3: Đem has xuống -> HAS + BEEN + DESTROYED
Bước 4 + 5: Lấy túc từ làm chủ từ, đem chủ từ ra sau thêm BY -> Many houses + HAS + BEEN + DESTROYED + BY + FIRE
chú ý: chủ từ bây giờ là Many houses ( số nhiều ) -> has sẽ là have vậy bước 4 + 5 sẽ là
Many houses HAVE been destroyed by fire.
Bước 6: viết phần còn lại của câu xuống
Many houses HAVE been destroyed by fire in the area.
2. They don't allow smoking in many public places.
Bước 1: động từ chính là allow -> Pii: allowed
bước 2: Be + allowed -> is allowed
bước 3: vì câu chủ động dạng phủ định -> is allowed thành : IS NOT allowed
Bước 4: tân ngữ câu chủ động là smoking:
Smoking is not allowed
bước 5: chủ từ câu chủ động là They -> them thêm by (by them) cái này nếu chủ từ là they thì có thể không cần viết vào bài.
Smoking is not allowed by them
bước 6: Viết phần còn lại xuống:
Smoking is not allowed by them in many public places
3. They Will have to cancel the picnic.
-> B1: canceled
B2: be + canceled (be vẫn dữ nguyên vì sau will + Vnt)
B3: will have to be canceled
B4+5: the picnic will have to be canceled by them
4. they are installing the alarm system
the alarm system is being installed by them

He tells me "Don't interrupt me when I’m speaking in this class!" -->report speech ?
